Spring Term Round Up

Unfortunately the spring term has been a fairly quiet term for our children due to the poor weather meaning a few competitions have unfortunately been postponed. The events have been pushed back into the summer term so the children do not lose out. However the children have still been out and in practicing  their sporting skills at every opportunity. The children have started cross country preparation with 40 dedicated children turning up each dinner time to get in some practice.  We have also seen our Y3/4 children take up some netball with the children discovering a new sport and thoroughly enjoying playing something different. During indoor playtimes the children have thrived at table tennis, with children challenging teachers to games! Well done every one.

Girls Basketball

One of the few events which has been able to be completed this term is the girls basketball competition which seen 8 of our Year 6 girls make the short journey to UCA to compete amongst 30 other girls teams to be crowned Middlesbrough schools champions. The amount of effort and commitment the girls have shown this term shone throughout the day. The girls won 8 games from 9 only drawing with local school Pallister Park in a fantastic game. Eventually the two schools were tied on both points and basket difference making them almost inseparable with a joint 1st finish. Well done girls a fantastic day of basketball.
