Blood, Buboes...BURST! Year 6
Our topic, Blood Buboes...Burst, has taken us on a gruesome journey into the plague!
We have used a range of sources to research and present information about the causes and symptoms of the plague. We have also looked at the role of the 'plague doctor' and the children were set a DT challenge.
We asked the children to use their DT skills to plan, design , build and evaluate a plague doctor mask to meet a specific design brief:
Mask specifications:
- Fits your head (must have an accurately measure head circumference)
- Has a ‘beak’ where your nose would be
- No visible tape or glue
